Steven Phipps began his apprenticeship under Troy Schlegel in 1998. He has been an artist since he was a child. He enjoys tattooing color bombs and realism and feels that tattoos should be as unique as the people getting them. Phipps loves the tattoo industry and spends one week each month traveling to conventions working side by side with other amazing artists. Aside from being an amazing tattoo artist, he has an extensive background in art. Prior to his tattoo apprenticeship Steve was a master airbrush and pinstripe artist. He has taken seven first place wins and one second place win in Easy Rider magazine for airbrushing two custom choppers.
