Steven Phipps began his apprenticeship under Troy Schlegel in 1998. He has been an artist since he was a child. He enjoys tattooing color bombs and realism and feels that tattoos should be as unique as the people getting them. Phipps loves the tattoo industry and spends one week each month traveling to conventions working side by side with other amazing artists. Aside from being an amazing tattoo artist, he has an extensive background in art. Prior to his tattoo apprenticeship Steve was a master airbrush and pinstripe artist. He has taken seven first place wins and one second place win in Easy Rider magazine for airbrushing two custom choppers. Our goal is to provide our clients with a clean and sterile environment that is both comfortable and safe. We are dedicated to providing our clients with the tools they need to make their ideas and visions become a reality.

About Us

Body INKorporated is located at 291 Route 59 East in West Nyack, NY directly across the street from the Palisades Mall in Rockland County. Our studio is 1800 square feet with cherry wood flooring, black leather furniture and a waiting area with a big screen television for our clients comfort. We have a computer reference center which has internet access and a tattoo design database including over 60,000 tattoo images ready to print. Our goal is to provide our customers with quality work in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. All of our piercers and tattoo artists have obtained permits from the Rockland County Board of Health and have certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens. We are currently staffed with four tattoo artists as well as rotating guest artists from around the country who can provide a wide variety of styles as well as custom artwork. We are also staffed with two professional piercers and carry a wide variety of body jewelry to accommodate our customers. All tattooing and piercing is done in private rooms for our clients comfort.
